  EVENTS FOR YEAR OF CONSECRATED LIFE

 Every Thursday at 6 pm in Clarendon Street: celebration of Evening Prayer. Each celebration to be prepared and guided by a different religious congregation beginning on Thursday 4th December 2014.

 

A special Evening Prayer for vocations will be led by Vocations Ireland on 28th May.

 

2nd February 2015: Celebration of Day for Consecrated Life organised in each diocese/region.

 

February/March: Lectio Divina in communities during Lent – booklet circulated.

 

30th May (Saturday) : CORI Pilgrimage to Knock (2.00 PM: Stations of the Cross and Rosary:   3 p.m. Mass and anointing; celebrant and homilist Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly SMA.

 

3 – 4 June: AGM of CORI with keynote speaker Bishop Kevin Dowling CSSR (Bishop of Rustenburg, South Africa) who will speak on Re-visioning Religious Life for the 21st Century in a global context.

 

  11th July: Open day of celebration for families and religious in Roscrea Abbey. (Bring picnic) Concluding with Evening Prayer in Abbey Church.

21st June:  CORI Pilgrimage to Gougane Barra, Co. Cork. (See details on website).

                         If interested please indicate this by 7th June so that final arrangements can be made.

 October:  Seminar on Religious life – further details later.

 

2nd February 2016: Closing Celebration.

 

Various gatherings for celebration and reflection are taking place throughout the country.

Each Diocesan Bishop has been encouraged by the Episcopal Conference to arrange for suitable celebrations in his diocese, if possible in every parish.
