Each religious congregation has care of its own archive. 

For access to the records of any individual institute contact should be made in the first instance with that religious congregation.

The most comprehensive introduction to the archives of religious congregations is the Directory of Irish Archives, edited by Séamus Helferty and Raymond Refaussé, now in its fourth edition (Dublin: Four Courts Press, 2004). ISBN: 1-85182-779-X (Paperback).
