Thursday Evening Prayer Resumes (Year for Consecrated Life)
The weekly Evening Prayer services led by the various CORI Congregations throughout 2015, as part of our Year for the Consecrated Life, will resume in the Carmelite Church in Clarendon Street Dublin, on Thursday evening 3rd September. We warmly invite as many religious as possible to take part, to first pray together and then enjoy some sociable interaction over a cup of tea.
The Evening Prayer commences at 6 p.m. each Thursday. We are most grateful to the Carmelites, and to Fr. Christopher ODC, the Prior, for the warm hospitality of their lovely church, and for the sociable access to their upstairs tea-room.
Volunteers needed to lead the Thursday sessions on Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26; also for Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, 2016.
The religious congregation leading the Prayer on any particular Thursday is asked to please provide the text of that day’s Prayer in a simple handout (at least 50 copies), and provide some personnel to introduce and lead the session. They can preface the prayer session with a short description (maximum 5 minutes) of their congregation’s history in Ireland, and their current spiritual and pastoral involvement. Any offers or queries about leading a particular date can be addressed to Fr. Pat Rogers (087 820 4156).
